BELMONT DRIVE CENTER

Welcome to Belmont Driver Head Start/Oregon Pre-Kindergarten.  This center originally started on Barrett Road around 1980.  Due to a wonderful opportunity in the spring of 1993, we were able to purchase the building we are currently housed in.  In August of 2006 we had another small change, when our site became partly funded by Oregon Pre-Kindergarten, a blending of two great early childhood programs.

At the center we currently have two combination preschool classes for children ages 3-5.  Combination means that children attend class 3 days per week and families receive home visits once each month.  We have class number one on Monday, Tuesday from 8:30-12:30 and Wednesday from 8:30-12:00.  Classroom number two meets on Wednesdays from 12:00 to 3:30 and Thursday and Friday from 8:30 to 12:30.  We currently serve twenty students in each classroom.

Our center has a wonderful staff of seven employees.  We have four teachers, one cook/housekeeper, a bus driver, and a bus monitor.  Someone is generally in our building from 7:00 to 3:00 Monday through Friday.  We provide home visits with families in the afternoons all five days of the week, so be sure to leave a message if no one answers.
