HEALTH

Head Start believes the healthy child has greater success in school! We make sure that children are immunized and have regular well child exams. We offer hearing and vision screenings and dental assessments. We also assist families in obtaining medical and dental homes. Various health topics are taught in the classroom too, along with letters and numbers.

NUTRITION

MCCC serves breakfast, lunch and snack family style. We serve foods low in sugar and salt, and we model good eating habits. Children are encouraged to try all the food. We serve a variety of healthy foods. USDA is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer.

MENTAL HEALTH

The goal of the services provided by our Mental Health Specialist is to make school a positive experience for your child by helping build on strengths to address social, emotional and behavioral concerns. We also link families with community resources that can assist families in resolving their own concerns.
