WHITE SALMON CENTER

White Salmon Head Start and Early Head Start serves children from birth to five years old and their families.   Currently we have two Head Start classes, one Early Head Start Combo class, and a Home Based program.  We welcome you to stop by our center, meet our staff, pick up an application or observe a classroom in action.

The Head Start 3 to 5 preschool program provides a comprehensive family-centered program.  Children’s learning experiences are designed to fit their individual need and interests.  Children gain skills and knowledge preparing them for Kindergarten.  Parents and teachers work together on Home Visits to set goals for their child and for their family.

                                          W        8:30 to 12:00
                        White Salmon II  W       11:30 to 3:00
                                          TH, F  8:30 to 12:30

The Early Head Start 2 to 3 year old toddler program provides a comprehensive family-centered program.  Children’s learning experiences are designed to fit their individual need and interests.  Activities and experiences help children develop language skills, social skills, motor skills, and thinking.  Parents and teachers work together on Home Visits to set goals for their child and for their family

The Early Head Start Home-Based program provides comprehensive services to pregnant mothers, and infants and toddlers ages 0 to 3.  Learning experiences are designed to fit the individual needs of children and families.  Activities and experiences help children develop language skills, social skills, motor skills, and thinking skills.  The program options offers support and child development services at convenient times to families in the comfort of their own homes and provide opportunities to gather with other parents and children to play and learn.
