MCCC is governed by a Board of Directors, Parent Policy Council and Executive Management Team. Both the Board of Directors and the Parent Policy Council play an integral role in governance as required by Head Start Performance Standards, while the Executive Management Team ensures all agency operations are compliant with state and federal regulations.
The Board of Directors is legally and financially responsible for administering and overseeing MCCC programs, including safeguarding federal funds. They play an active role in program development, planning and evaluation , as well as establish proceduces for recruitment.
The Parent Policy Council is comprised of parents who have a child actively participating in an MCCC program and elected by their peers from each site. The council is responsible for approving and submitting to the Board, all decisions regarding activities that promote parent involvement in program operations, responsiveness to community needs, and program activities.
Policy Council meets the last Thursday of each month from 6:00-8:00PM at MCCC’s Central Office – 1100 E Marina Way, Suite 104., Hood River, Oregon 97031.
