MCCC utilizes volunteers to provide community partnerships reaching beyond the classroom. The personal engagement our employees and volunteers provide creates a lasting impact with the community, families and children. Volunteers focus their efforts and energy in providing a high quality learning environment.
Program volunteers include board members, organizational advisory, policy council, classrooms assistance, office assistance, trainers and health service providers.
Examples of ways our volunteers spend their time in the program include: Assisting teachers in the classroom; Assisting bus monitor; Becoming a mentor; Sharing talents and skills with other parents in training/workshop/activity setting; Helping during group socializations; Engaging with children during family style meals; Reading to children; translation; Assisting with child care needs during parent group meetings; Facilitating literacy projects; Fundraising; Participation at field trips. Volunteers are always welcome and needed! We encourage you to spend a day with us.
Volunteers must be age 15 or older.
Volunteers are NEVER allowed to be left alone with children.
Must agree to Volunteer Statement.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE:
1.) Volunteering occasionally (less than 20 hours a month)
2.) Regular Volunteer regularly (20 hours or more per month on a regular basis)
