October is Head Start Awareness Month!
This month, we’re celebrating the transformative impact of Head Start programs, which provide early learning, health, and family support services to children and families across the nation.
For decades, Head Start has been a cornerstone for early childhood education, offering critical services that set children up for success in school and in life. At Mid Columbia Children’s Council, we’re proud to be part of this legacy, helping children in our communities thrive.
Why Head Start Matters
Head Start programs are designed to promote school readiness through a variety of services that focus on early learning, health, and family well-being. These programs help children build strong educational foundations while offering parents support in areas like health care, nutrition, and social services. Together, these services empower families to create stable and nurturing environments, ensuring children have the best possible start in life.
